For our first "officially fun" meeting, we met at
Guido McNeal's in Middletown. "Luscious Lady of the Lake" made
the arrangements ~ we had the upstairs room to ourselves!
"Luscious" and "Dame of Doodles" made Halloween Trick-or-Treat
goodie bags for all of us. YUM! THANKS! From the tops of our
red hats to the tips of our hips!
Also, "Luscious Lady" surprised us with Official Red Hat
Society bumper stickers! SPECTACULAR!!! They are so cool
and will look great on our vehicle's bumpers! Thanks a carload!!!
Two new members joined our ranks ~ both are Pink Hatters.
We welcomed them with "butterfly wishes" and bubbles. For
their initiation, they performed a duet kazooing number...
we think it was "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" !!! :-)
Way to go, Ladies!!!
While waiting for our delicious dinner to arrive, we played
a word search game. It ended in a tie ~ numbers were chosen
by the tying contestants, with "Bingo Princess" walking away
with the prize ~ a fuzzy red spider!
"Lady Bug" read some really corny Halloween riddles. The riddles
were so corny, and were received with appropriate "Halloween Groans".
Also, during our wait, a raffle was held for a Red Hats charm bracelet.
"Sexy Superstar" won the beautiful trinket
and immediately put it on her wrist with pride!
Proceeds from the raffle were given to The Keeper of Koins
for the "kitty".
After dinner, we surprised "Luscious Lady" with a birthday cake,
and wished her many, many more by playing "Happy Birthday" for her
on our brand new red and purple kazoos!
Numbers were drawn for the door prize, a stuffed black
cat sporting a lavender t-shirt and BOO embroidered in red!
The luck of our "Bingo Princess" kicked in again! We suggested
to her that with her luck of the evening, she should now go play
a game or two of BINGO and of course, share her winnings with us!
